Costbelle Shoring

Structural design of permanent shoring walls ranging from 5ft to 23 foot tall.  The shoring wall could not be tied back into the street because of existing utilities.  The shoring wall was designed to sustain traffic load as well as fire truck and seismic loads.

 

Technical difficulties:

​

  • Closeness to utility lines, PSE could not tie the shores back.

  • Shoring for Caltrans loads, fire trucks.  The shoring walls had to support fire truck loads.

  • Permanent concrete retaining walls. A residential private house will be built behind the wall.
